A passage discovered in the Lahore Fort during evacuation beneath the bedroom of Mughal Emperor Shahjahan is still waiting further exploration and research for establishing its significance, importance and relevancy due to lack of experts.

Shalamar Gardens losing to encroachments

Vendors have marred the beauty of Shalamar Gardens – included in the World Heritage List -by violating the ban on construction within an area of 200-feet around historical sites. The office of Shalamar Town administration is located opposite the fruit stalls and other wooden structures constructed by encroachers.

Pollution damaging beauty of Fort wall

Recent permission for parking outside the Punjab Archaeology Department (PAD), adjacent to the Lahore Fort gate near the Samadhi Maharanjit Singh, has damaged one of the Fort’s painted walls due to the emission of smoke from the parked vehicles, sources told Daily Times.

Sikh heritage vandalised in Pakistan
