Punjab to get Guru Gobind Singhs relics

Relics of 10th Guru Gobind Singh, presently with Hanumant Singh — the scion of erstwhile ruling family of Nabha state —will soon be handed over to Punjab for preservation and proper display. The relics include Guru’s sword, a comb, a turban and hand-written manuscripts.

Disposing of a petition filed by Uttam Singh of Nabha for directing Hanumant Singh to return the relics to the people of Nabha, Chief Justice Tirath Singh Thakur and Justice Jasbir Singh of Punjab and Haryana High Court directed the handing over of the same within two months to Punjab state.

The Bench also directed Punjab to depute a four-member team of officers to go over to Delhi and receive the relics and bring them back for display at some suitable place.
