Pak govt maintaining Sikh and Hindu shrines: Pak MP

Riaz Fatyana, an MP from Pakistan, today said the Pakistan government is properly maintaining shrines of Sikhs and Hindus and giving due respect to the minorities.

Talking to media persons here Riaz, a Pakistan Muslim League MP, said Nankana Sahib, associated to the first Sikh master Guru Nanak Dev, has been granted the status of a district.

He claimed that Pakistan government is releasing proper funds for maintenance of the shrines of Sikhs and Hindus in the country.

Noting that the minorities are getting due respect in Pakistan, he said there are 342 members in the National Assembly of his country and 10 seats are reserve for minorities and presently 7 Hindus have occupied these seats.
