The purohit (family priest) of "Khatri" family brought a Guru Granth Sahib written by the Guru back from Punjab 400 years ago. The family claims that they saved the Granth from disgrace in the time of Mughal rule during the period of looting.
The old man notes that that the granth's pujari was Raghunath Das
The granth is now in possession of the ninth generation of the family. It is not being looked after properly, insects are eating the pages, but the family complain that no one has come forward to raise money for its conservation.
